Supercharged Storytimes for All

Supercharged Storytimes for All is an early literacy training opportunity for librarians, preschool teachers, and childcare professionals here in Alaska. Practitioners will learn how to intentionally apply research-based practices to boost early literacy in young children who are attending library storytime or are enjoying storytime at a preschool or other childcare setting.

Content has been developed by Saroj Ghoting, early literacy consultant, Betha Gutsche, WebJunction Program Manager, CiKeithia Pugh, Early Learning Program Manager at the Seattle Public Library, and Emily Plagman, Project Manager at Project Outcome, with support from OCLC and a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, RE-95-17-0085-17.

Courses will be taught by Samantha Blanquart, Early Literacy Outreach Coordinator for the Alaska State Library, Elizabeth Nicolai, Youth Services Coordinator at the Anchorage Public Library, Amelia Jenkins, Youth Services Librarian at Juneau Public Library, and Marguerite LaRiviere, Library Director for Kegoayah Kozga Public Library in Nome, Alaska.
